Virtual fashion models

Virtual models, wearing your real product.

Shootless dresses consistent virtual models in the garments you actually sell — so you get the flexibility of AI casting without losing the product.

Produced by Shootless — no studio, no model booking, no physical shoot.

Virtual models solve the scheduling and cost problems of casting, but only if the product they wear is right. A virtual model in an approximation of your dress is a liability; a virtual model in your actual dress is a production tool.

That is the difference Shootless is built around. The garment comes from your real product photography, and the virtual model, pose and setting are directed around it.

What you get

Your garment, not a lookalike

Real product imagery is the reference for every output.

A cast you control

Choose one signature model or a varied line-up for your range.

Reusable across seasons

Keep the same model look as your catalogue grows.

Studio to location

The same virtual model in studio, lifestyle and campaign settings.

The workflow

From garment to published in six stages.

  1. 01

    Product assets

Your existing flat-lay or ghost-mannequin photography is the starting point. No samples to ship, no new shoot.

  2. 02

    Asset preparation

The platform builds an understanding of the garment's fabric, silhouette and construction from your images.

  3. 03

    Creative direction

You define model, setting, lighting, mood and composition — entered directly as the brief.

  4. 04

    Generation

Imagery is produced and iterated across directions, models and settings in parallel.

  5. 05

    Review & approval

Your team reviews every image against the product and signs off, on any device.

  6. 06

    Export & publish

Finished assets are delivered for ecommerce, editorial, social and campaign.

Where virtual models fit in a fashion workflow

Virtual models are most valuable where traditional casting is least efficient: large catalogues, frequent drops, late additions and secondary channels that never justified a shoot day. They let every product be shown on a body, not just the hero pieces.

They also make it practical to show more of your customers in your imagery. Showing a range on several models is a casting brief rather than a budget decision.

Built by people who know production

Not just prompting an image generator.

Shootless is built by Third Axis Creative, a commercial content production consultancy in Peterborough, UK. The team spent years on traditional fashion sets — sourcing samples, booking studios, managing crews — before building the technology to remove the parts of that process that no longer need to exist. That experience is why the platform is built around lighting, fabric, posing and campaign composition, and around the real garment you sell.

Frequently asked questions

A virtual model is an AI-generated person used to show clothing on a body. With Shootless, the virtual model wears your real garment, taken from your product photography.

Will customers be able to tell?

Shootless aims for commercially credible, photographic results. We recommend being transparent about AI-generated imagery in line with your brand values and any applicable advertising guidance.

Can I keep the same virtual model long-term?

Yes. Model looks are reusable creative direction, so you can keep a signature model across seasons.

Can virtual models be used in campaigns, not just PDPs?

Yes. The same virtual model can appear in studio product shots and in location, lifestyle and campaign imagery.
